We offer two well-equipped, comfortable cottages in a large shared garden overlooking the River Stour and Sturminster Newton Mill. The cottages are in Newton, just outside the medieval market town of Sturminster Newton, in the heart of the Blackmore Vale in North Dorset.
Rose Cottage and Jasmine Cottage are situated in the grounds of a Grade 2 listed thatched cottage dating from the 15th century. Sturminster Newton is a 15 minute walk from Hillyground. The town's many facilities include supermarket, baker, butcher/deli, greengrocer, chemist, banks, post office, doctors, dentists, takeaways, pubs and restaurants. The nearest pub is 3 minutes' walk.
Sturminster Newton is a great base for exploring the many attractions of Dorset, including the World Heritage Jurassic Coast, historic houses and gardens, market towns, ancient hill forts, chalk figures, abbeys, churches, picturesque traditional villages, Hardy's Wessex and glorious countryside. Local activities include fishing, walking, golf and lots of family attractions.
