The Coppleridge Inn
The Coppleridge Inn, run by the Goodinge family is a converted 18th Century farmhouse set in 15 acres of meadow, woodland and gardens, overlooking the beautiful Blackmore Vale. We have a secure garden with play ground and a woodland nature trail for our younger clients.
Within the house there is a warm and welcoming bar with a gallery where we sell traditional beers and a wide selection of wines from around the world by the glass or the bottle. Here we also offer a range of home cooked bar meals featuring traditional favourites,interesting and ethnic dishes, game, a daily changing fish selection and always a range of vegetarian dishes.
Our cosy candlelit à la carte restaurant and private dining rooms use fresh ingredients from local suppliers to provide a wide variety of dishes to please every taste with a wide ranging winelist to perfectly complement your meal.
A beautiful flagstoned and log fired lounge is provided for pre-dinner drinks and cocktails, or after dinner coffee and liqueurs. Our beautiful terrace overlooking the Dorset countryside provides the perfect setting for alfresco dining. In the courtyard the farm buildings have been tastefully converted into ten spacious bedrooms all with wonderful views of the surrounding countryside.
All rooms have en suite bathrooms, television, radio, telephone and tea and coffee making facilities. Our rooms are also available for single occupancy. Rates available upon enquiry.
Our oak timbered barn has been converted into a magnificent function and conference room seating upto 85. We hold a civil wedding licence.
We are situated at the northern end of Motcombe on the main road 2 miles from Shaftesbury, 4 miles from Gillingham and Mere and 6 miles from the A303 at East Knoyle and Mere.
